This calculator estimates the weight of yarn you will need if you know the length you require.  To convert, you must enter information printed on the ball band of your skein. I circled the required on a ball of Sinfonia yarn. They gave the information in both metric and English units. You can see 100g = 200 m at the top, and 2.52 oz = 218 yds at the bottom.   Use whichever combination you prefer, just pull down the appropriate menu below.
