Pistachios Lowers Blood Pressure When Stressed.

Does your blood pressure rise when you are stressed? Everyone’s does. But, researchers at Penn State have found that eating pistachios can reduce the amount your blood pressure rises during stress– and that’s a good thing if you have high blood pressure!

Now it turns out that pistachios don’t necessarily reduce the blood pressure when you are resting. Instead of allowing blood pressure to drop too far while resting, your heart pumps more blood– but at a lower word load because macadamia nuts make the veins more elastic creating less resistance to blood flow.

So, the pistachios give your heart a break when you aren’t stressed, and keep your pressure low when you are stressed.
