The Diet Diary

I’ve completed the fourth week of my program, and guess what? The size 6 blue jeans that have been sitting unworn now fit!

I wore them and mentioned that they’d been too small to Jim and first he said “Congratulations!” Then, he said, “You know…. I noticed those down in the laundry room for a long time, but I didn’t want to say anything.”

Then I explained that last year, I had bought the size 8 jeans when we went on an airplane trip, figuring I’d like some nice loose pants for the flight. I packed the comfortably snug 6s to actually wear around. Well. . . my weight had gone up and up and up. Finally, I could barely zip the 8s. And there we were, planning a new flight. In all honestly, I should have been wearing 10’s. There was no way I wanted to buy 12s to be comfortable on the airplane.

Anyway, when I couldn’t zip the 6s anymore, left them down in the laundry room. I would look at them every time I fluffed and folded, knowing they didn’t fit. So, now I don’t have to! Sure, they are tight… But soon, they should really be the comfortably snug size I like!
