Eggs for weight loss?

A study by Professor Nikhil V. Dhurandhar of Louisiana State University found overweight and obese women who consumed a breakfast of two eggs a day as part of a low-fat diet with a 1,000 calorie deficit lost 65 percent more weight and 83 percent greater reductions in waist circumference than women who ate bagels for breakfast.

Medical News Today has more information, including a list of 9 studies that showed eggs are good for you.

Now, I’ll admit I suspect the egg council probably funds most of these. Still maybe there is no particular good reason to avoid eggs. Though, I must say, I have trouble eating an egg only breakfast. I want a bagel with my eggs! That makes it a bit difficult to achieve the calorie reduction.
