How many hours go into making them? We used to knit them for our beaux and we carried a thin strand of synthetic in the heel to reinforce them. With the thumb coming out of the bottom, that doesn't work out. My felted and two needle mittens are interchangable because the thumbs come right out the side. The Argyles took <b>forever</b>. I don't even remember! Actually, they didn't take forever, but it seemed like a long time to me because they are so small and I was trying to make sure the pattern didn't have typos. I don't think I'm ever knitting socks by hand again! I'm just not a "hand knit socks" kind of gal. No, this mittens is not interchangable.
