My Mom and my oldest child would look great in this shape..they have no waist and are large on top..have belly's and they are tiny on bottom. Alot of Mexican Indian people are built this way..this shape would help balance that top and tummy heavy body..ok..hide the tummy. I guess I'm for not trying to bring down what others do, but live and let ..knit. Or try to critique in a helpful, productive manner. ( which you often do..you are a thinking person and it shows.) You are far kinder than alot of these blogs..and you DO produce on your own. So many of these blogs that call themself "snarky"..a word that sounds "dorky" to me..never even show what THEY themselves have knitted. But they sure do work hard at bringing down others. I know this comment will probably make me hated. But maybe someone will see it and spend more effort at knitting than critisizing what others do. And please dont get me wrong. I am a painter by profession. I am accustomed to heavy critique..and the helpfulness of that process. I would just hope that someone who picks apart my work would also have some experience with the process of making a a painting from start to finish, has shown their work in some capacity..and has some proficiency..as well as is not critiquing based upon personal preference, but on technical know-how.AND all the while keeping in mind the final destination and purpose of the work. Some of the points in the internet comments made on knitwear patterns do indeed bring up some issues in design that make the item not work..and some are just mean. There is already so much meaness in this world..it seems a shame to cultivate and celebrate it. I appologise if I have offended in any way.
