A while back, I created a pretty nice list of knitting seminars. it manages to come out fairly high on a google search for “knitting seminars”, so I like to keep it up to date. However, it had some flaws. I didn’t have any decent way to insert contact information or any details about the seminars. I also limited the list to hand knitting.
So, I decided to create a new seminars list with some nifty features. It runs at the “annex” part of my site — that’s where I’ll be placing all lists of links. If you visit the new list, you’ll see it’s a fairly complete list. Plus, there’s a bonus: Pull down menus to help you find seminars in your part of the world.
Anyway, if you run a seminar, workshop or pretty much any knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning or fiber oriented event that is open to the public and has a specific date feel free to use the “add a knitting seminar form”. Your entry will appear fairly quickly.
What will happen at the url that had the old list? Well, since I know people set bookmars, the seminar URL will continue to show knitting seminars. It just won’t ever have all the nice search features the other pages has.
So, basically, you’ll still find the seminars you want to find plus, you’ll have a page with a nice searchable list of seminars. Yes. That’s “more”.
