I should probably pretend I edited myself out to let readers focus on the sweater instead of the wearer. That might sound good. Or maybe I did it to save bandwidth and down load time? Of to be artsy?
Of course, none of those are the reason. The reason is vanity.
I made Jim take 4 pictures. In some, I had red eye. In others, messy hair, shiny over exposed skin and all sorts of other flaws. In others, I just looked goofy. I could have begged Jim to take picture after picture after picture. But it was pretty obvious Jim, who is preparing a presentation to give in Puerto Rico, does not want to take photos endlessly until I find one that’s acceptable to me. (Hey, he thought the first one was just fine and finding one I like could take all night.)
What to do? I think I found the perfect solution. Edit out the model! The result: The perfect photo to illustrate the sweater on the pattern directions.

Oh my husband would have done the same thing! It takes 300 pictures of me to find an ok one. That’s why I have no pictures of me in my blog. Yet.
Gorgeous sweater, by the way, good job!!!!

Well, you can’t really blame them, can you? Plus, if I complain I look bad in the picture, he decides to fix it he needs to stand close and take a good picture of my face cutting out the sweater!
I should probably just get the tripod out and take them myself, but that’s a pain in the neck too!

The sweater is lovely. Bloglines is being a brat and I can’t even remember the last time it said you updated. I’ve switched my subscription so hopefully I’ll be stopping by more often again. :O)

Thanks for the compliment.
Bloglines, can’t live with them; can’t live without them!
I’m one of the few knitting bloggers who posts more than 7 times a week. Unless I’m on vacation (or even if I am) likely as not, I posted something within the last day. (I sometimes post two in a day because like to separate the ‘how to’ from ‘not how to’ so people who want to learn how to do something can print out without wasting paper printing images of my cat!)
