From time to time, yarn store owners email me asking that I post a link to their store. Guilds email me aking that I post the dates of their guild meeting. And others email askiing me to post other things. Unfortunately, I never had a natural spot to post links to stores. Now, I’ve fixed that big time.
How? By creating “The Knitting Fiend Annex” It’s sort of a blog that I set up to to create what I’m going to call “link frenzies”. These are lists of links with companion entry forms that let the people who want to add a something to the entry form add that.
I’ve begun posting pages listing knitting stores. I’ve created pages for four states and the “add a link form”. Even if your state page isn’t up, you can add your favorite store; it will appear when I get the state page published, which, likely as not will be soon.
In you are wondering: “The Knitting Fiend Blog” will remain my “real” blog. I just want to avoid stuffing all those link frenzies in as blog entries. So two “blogs” organize the different types of materials.
I suspect some of you have noticed “The Annex” has the domain name “theknittingfiend.com”. Yep, I got tired of telling people my stooopid domain name and having them blink and say “That’s a knitting site?”. I am going to be organizing a while bunch of stuff under the new domain name and I’ll announce here as things are set up.
Now, I better go knit or I won’t win my medal in “The Knitting Olympics!”
