Call me weird, but I like it. I couldn't wear it, but I like it. If I had a daughter, I would definately make something similar for her. I don't think my son would quite appreciate it. hehe

That pattern has GOT to be from 1987. I would have thought that sweater was the bomb in 1987. Ah, I loved the eighties. That was the decade for knitters. Remember those bulky Ralph Lauren sweaters with the complicated winter scenes knit into them? They were going for like $300 in 1983? They were soooo cool. Or that bulky white sweater that Andie MacDowell was wearing at the cabin when Emilio Estevez confronts her in St. Elmo's Fire? Ah, those were the days for a knitter.

I agree with you. I do like to show some unusual knits when I write Haikus. Some are wretched; some are interesting. It's just that when I flip through my books, sometimes a Haiku just comes to me!

While I wouldn't knit or wear that, I think it's interesting the way the designer used cables in a contrasting color for the what? Seaweed? Water ripples?

What can I say but I lead a simple life and am easily amused ;-)
