Knitter Gail posted a photo of her cat, blaming the blurriness on excess consumption of “New Year’s Cheer”.
I saw her cat’s photo while similarly under the influence. [hick. . . ] I vowed to retaliate by showing you a photo of my cat, also taken under the influence of “New Year’s Cheer.”
I hope, The General, a multitalented and, ordinarily, dignified cat, will forgive me.

“The General” is your cat’s name? Is he named after the Dukes of Hazzard’s car perhaps?

He’s named “General Sterling Price” after the cat in “True Grit”!

I read “multitalented” as “mutilated” the first time around. I bet The General would agree, though.

Poor boy is definitely mutilated! He objects strongly to his medication but hasn’t lost his lusty appetite.
