I’m getting ready to try knitting socks using circular needles. Yes, I will be attempting the beloved “magic loop” method. In anticipation, I bought a very long set of circular needles, which, naturally were totally wound up. So, I tossed them in the sink, poured in very hot water, emptied the sink and “Voila!”

Now, I’m off to Urbana to do honest to goodness work. That (and the whole “god-jul-fest” with it’s too much food, too much aqua vit and loads of traveling to friends and relatives) is delaying the publication of the Carnival a bit. I’ll be posting that tomorrow.
Meanwhile, those sane ones of you not working, continue with your happy holidays!

Good luck with the Magoc Loop. I also got an Addi circ for Christmas and will soon try this method, too.

I tried 2 socks on 2 circs last night and quickly decided that I hated it. So…. today I, too, am trying the magic loop method and hope it’s a keeper.

I didn’t like the magic loop, I still love my dpn but I am willing to give two circs a try.
You have inspired me to try the hot water treatment for some of my more unruly circular needles.
Happy New Year to you!

Yep. Urbana Illinois. I should have looked for the yarn store on line before driving down. I thought it was on Green street, didn’t find it, and then couldn’t find it in the yellow pages. Sigh. . .
