The Knitting Fiend

Queer Joe is organizing “The Knibbies”, or best knit blog awards. The rules are posted at his announcement page. ^Update

The four categories are:

• Best New Knitting Blog: Blogs that began publishing in 2005 or 2004 seem to qualify. (Mine began in in April 2004, but I didn’t really start blogging in earnest until October 2004, so I assume I’m a new blog. Hint, hint! Actually, I think the majority of knitting blogs are new. )
• Best Technical Knitting Blog
• Most Entertaining Knitting Blog
• Best Overall Knitting Blog

Joe is taking nominations by email: nominations@knitblogawards.com

Read his rules and criteria first, because you can only submit one email nominating one blog in each category. However, you can nominate the same blog for more than one category. Oh, while his instructions don’t mention this, I advise stating both the name and giving the ULR (web address). Some blogs have similar names!

Decide quickly, and get your nominations in before Dec. 26. You do need to nominate your favorites, because only the 10 most commonly nominated blogs will make the ballot!

Update: Jan. 3, 2006. Joe’s nominations period is over. However, you can still nominate knitting blogs at “The Bloggies” or vote in Joe’s contest.
