Look, it’s a toe!
Guess what? I was planning to illustrate the double wrapped short rows while working this toe. But, I’m not going to.
Guess why? I took loads of blurry pictures!
Luckily, I’ll also be working the heel using double wraps, so I’ll be able to create the “lesson” fairly quickly.
The toe does look nice. The double wraps are a bit tighter than the single wraps and it’s not much more fiddly.
Now, you regular readers know I’m addicted to posting lessons. Because I am, I’m going to claim this picture is itself a “lesson”. I see the eye-roll and hear people asking, “What lesson?”
You should test whether or not the toe seems to be the correct width before continuing to knit a toe up sock. You can’t tell precisely, but stick your toe in. If it’s obviously too wide (or narrow), the sock will be too wide (or narrow). Remember: if it doesn’t fit, you can rip now, or rip later!
(Yes. I hear you saying, “Duh”.)
