He Eats!

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes and prayers for Biggie. He eats! Only a little, but he eats!

He’s not fully well yet. Still, I’m much more hopeful because his lab tests show no cancer cells; so, it’s probably not Leukemia!

Biggie is still resting fairly constantly, but there is so much progress. Today, he managed to walk 4 feet without becoming totally breathless; this is different from Sunday morning, when, he would begin to pant if he rolled over. This alarmed him and he would moan pitifully. I had to pet him until he became calm. Today he rubs me sometimes when pet his head and he is able to swallow and drank a little milk. Not enough, but a little. Yay!

I was a bit concerned he’d dehydrate before recovering his appetite for water or food, so I took him to the vet who gave him a subdermal water injection. She also gave me some vitamins with liver and iron compound to help with his anemia.

I’ve still got my fingers crossed, but I’m hopeful!

  4. Poor kitty, Lucky (my evil cat) sending healing vibes to Biggie. Lucky was quite ill after the holidays after licking up all the glitter off the floor. He will eat/taste anything on the floor. I hope Biggie is back to his normal self soon :)

  10. Thanks everyone. Once again, he spent most of the day resting, but he did eat and drink a little on his own. So, I think we are on the “upcurve”.

The General (my orange cat) is leaving him alone; normally he goes up and tries to pester him. I think The General is also a bit jealous of all the attention Biggie is getting. He’s been spending time in my office with me–usually he sleeps upstairs in the bed.

Still got my fingers and toes crossed!
