I can’t decide which picture is cuter. I’ll show both!
I coded the generator to create a pattern to hand knit a beret. Teddy is wearing one knit in Lion Bran HomeSpun, which is a bulky yarn. He is wearing another knit in cotton ease, a fingering weight yarn. Both patterns can be created using the same generator on the same web page. (Machine knitters can use the MK beret pattern generator.)
If you visit, you’ll also see Colocha, my 14″ doll wearing a small beret.
Yep. You can make a hat to fit her head too. Just measure her head, enter your gauge, and “Voila”! A pattern to fit a little doll.
This hat is knit from the bottom up using circular needles. It’s very simple, and I’d say an advanced beginner could make the hat with a small amount of guidance. I also give tips for incorporating a fair-isle pattern, if you want to get fancy.
Of course, I knit the scarf too. Anyone want to see a generator for that?
