I finished the cuff on the second sleeve. Now, it’s time for some mindless knitting. I laid the sweater on the floor, inserted a circular needle through the heels of the first real row of knitting and then began removing the waste yarn.


Sometimes, I can snip the waste yarn and pull, a single strand to release the stitches. In this case, the first row of knitting isn’t stockinette, I have to snip quite a few stitches and tease the waste yarn out
So, removing the provisional cast on is more tedious than usual.
But, the result is just as usual. Voila! Live stitches to knit the turtleneck.

I’ll purl one row, then knit twisted rib.
