Here’s the jester hat Jim wanted. He wants another one in his university colors — orange and blue.
Jim’s hat took me about 1 hour to knit and 1 hour to assemble on my knitting machine. The assembly took a long time because I didn’t realize I should use ravel cord! I spent most of the time removing waste yarn! Arghhhh!!! (The instructions now tell you to use ravel cord. It reads a bit fiddly, but it’s worth it.)
The hat would be very easy to knit by hand, and I’ve described the hand knitting (HK) modifications in the generator.
Oh.. you can also make this into a stocking cap. That’s even easier to make than the split cap. If you can’t figure out how, ask and I’ll tell you.
