You know…. My blog usually gets about 500 hits a day. So, imagine my surprise when I visited site meter just after 3 pm central time and saw this:

266 visits in the last hour?!
I thought: “Oh my gosh, my spam filter had failed!“
So, I clicked “by referrals” ; the first page looked like this:

The remaining five showed more of the same. Turns out Stephanie, “The Yarn Harlot”, placed a link to my buttonhole space calculator at her site today. Gosh, I better let them all know they can find even more calculators here!
Hmmm…You know, I always wonder how much traffic some of the more famous knitting blogs get. I guess Stephanie gets more than 500 hits a day!

holy cow! she gets THAT many visits in AN HOUR! I get excited when that many people visit me in a WEEK. *feeling traffic envy*.
I do like all of your calculators. That was the reason I first started visiting your blog. Thanks for putting all that work into them!

It’s *amazing*! I mean….. We have to figure that many people don’t click the link to my article, right? So, that’s *a lot* of traffic!
I like her blog, but if we assume as many as half the people who read an article clicked the link to my blog, she must have had at least 500 visitors that hour.
I feel traffic envy too!

holy smokes, and I just realized I don’t have you linked on my new site!~ WHAT!!!?? You shoulda told me!!! Anyways, “borrowing” a calculator and then off to remedy this horrible travesty!

I saw your link at yarn harlot’s site today and the thought passed my mind of how much traffic that would generate. Never did I imagine that it would be so high! Wow! You do good work and you deserve it – so would that be congratulations in blog etiquette? I just think anyone getting a link from the harlot would be proud
