Here I am working on a “make 5 out or 1″ increase while camping with “the guys”; (that’s Jim, Robert and David). I’m probably working lifting the strand and twisting it while knitting into it. It requires some concentration to remember which ones I twist clockwise and which I twist counter clockwise.
I had a lot of fun. Still, I must admit, two days of watching people fish is enough for me! Besides that, it’s really a “boys” week.
Yes, that’s a camper. Renting one makes it much easier to haul up all the “stuff”, plus, we don’t need to worry about leaking tents during September rain storms. Lucky for us, we reserved this. The rental agent told us huge numbers had been rented by people traveling to New Orleans to help with the relief effort after Katrina.
Will they all head to Texas next? I keep reading the news and hoping for the best. Or at least the “not worst”!
But, returning to live around here: just in case you are wondering about that basil, we used it up to make this delicious dish. I also made the fettuccini from scratch. There’s lots of time to kill while camping, so we eat rather well!
