Yesterday, Halloween, was a busy day. I raked the many zillions of leaves that had fallen during the week, and did general yard work. I thought, “I’ll knit tonight.” Hah!
The stream of trick or treaters who came to my door sure were cute to see. The first three to arrive were dressed as a fairy princess, a flower and a spider. Over the course of the past 5 years, many houses in my neighborhood were sold by their retiring owners to couples with young kids. As a result, my neighborhood is just filled with 2-6 years olds. Some were born recently; some just moved here.
The only problem? I bought two bags of candy based on the number of trick-or-treaters who visited last year and the year before. Two measly bags. I had to dash out and buy 4 more! Lots of those kids were accompanied by pregnant moms; I’ll need more candy next year.
Well, one other problem. I started my fake mohair pink capelet. I had to jump up and down so often, I just stopped. I hope to get it done today.

I got through. I left a bucket with sweets. I do not know if the first visitor gorged himself or the ‘guests’ left some for the others. NFT

But, if you just left a bucket, you didn’t get to see any kids! Ours were soooooo cute.
