I guess I’m devoting the summer to making turning this blog into a knit blogging “resource”!
In April, I started the “Machine Knitting Web Ring”; there are now 11 members with functioning links. So, it’s an actual ring (whoo-hooo!) I said I’d keep a list up at the “home” site, but I was bad about that. I finally did put a list up. That motivated me to check the links, and I removed some dead links and emailed some of the list owners to see if they can revive their links.
I also came up with a brilliant idea! Why not set up a feed aggregator page so people can see what’s new at the MK blogs? So, it’s now here: Machine Knitting Blog Feeds. The page is created from feeds published by the blogs in the Machine Knitting Blogs Web Ring.
I’ll be making this new feed aggregator page the “home” for the machine knitting web ring, which means future members will be provided ring code that points to the aggregator page instead the old blogspot page . Those of you who are inclined to edit your web ring links can substitute the feed link for the old home link in your site ring code. (Although, changing your ring codes is neither necessary nor urgent. I’ll just keep both the old “home” and the new “home” pages up and running. That way, the machine knit web ring is publicized both through blogspot. Some people find it the ring that way, so that’s a good thing.)
I sent a message to let people on the machine knit email list know the news feed is up and running. So, some of you might actually get a bit more traffic today and possibly in the future. I also hope you think that’s a good thing!

I have always been interested in machine knitting but I don’t even know where to start, especially without dishing out a lot of dough.
Have you ever considered putting up an info page [or maybe you already have, I haven’t checked yet!] about machine knitting, reviews and sources?
It is not that easy to find that much information about it, not that I have done extensive googling about the subject, but I have done some without many rewards or knowledge.
It would also be interesting to do a knitting machine meme within your ring perhaps, to see what everybodies likes and dislikes are about their knitting machine, tips and other related material.
I look forward to browsing the ring!

Sonja wrote up a nice article here:
Choosing a knitting machine.
Maybe visitors who knit by machine could just talk about their likes and dislikes in here in comments.
