I worked at Pacific Northwest Laboratories and contributed to projects related to nuclear waste. In fact, I walked over radioactive waste stored in K-basins. (The picture shows K-East and K-West.) The more recent articles do indicate they are getting some stuff cleaned up. But, there is an awful lot of waste out there. (And it's not our only site. Just the biggest one.) I posted the article yesterday because my husband happens to be in Richland right now. (He works on global climate change projects though. ) I used to live there!
