It looks either NoNoKitty or Marianne over in France is organizing “World Wide Knit in Public Day!”
Reading the announcement, it seems a small band of knitters is kicking this off. I’m all for it, and plan to knit in public on Saturday June 11, 2005.
You’ll find the English Language announcement here and a French translation here.
The idea is to get every knitter to out themselves and knit in public on that day. If you’re all for it too, print out some of the flyers available at the announcement site, post them, send email to your knitter friends, mention the date on your blog, and, most of all, mark June 11 on your calendar and remember to knit in public that day!
Hey, does anyone in Lisle, or Naperville want to knit in public somewhere on June 11?

You’re in Chicago, right? I’m going to see if I get any bites in Lisle. But, if I don’t I may need to go further. Naperville, Downers Grove… There HAS GOT to be someone in Chicago whole knit at Navy Pier!
