I actually like this top. It looks elegant, not poor. The brown and gray look beautiful together. If it were in black the detailing would be lost. My Raggety Ann wore a pinafore that didn’t look anything like this top. I don’t know how to use a knitting machine, but I think the points would give me problems if I tried to make them on one.

I have two knitting machines. The points would be a snap on a knitting machine, particularly if you organized to knit from the waist down. I’d pick the Brother for this project because it looks like that’s knit on the bias and I’d need to use the garter bar to shift stitches eventually. (That’s easy on the Japanese knitting machines, but difficult on my double bed Passap knitting machine.)

The top isn’t so bad, but I just hope we aren’t going back to the drab impoverished ’90s look.

It was so difficult to find cheerful flattering clothes. Lucky for me, I sew. So if we do go back to grunge, I’ll just buy red fabric and stand out like a flame!

The top is… strange, and while I would never knit or wear it, I know a lot of girls who could pull it off.

I do think knitters will knit this and wear it. I’m just hoping the “boho chic” doesn’t come back. You can change the name, but it’s Grunge. There were people who could carry off the grunge look, but when that look is in, people watching in down town areas just looks… drab!

Personally I would like to suggest Digg, its similar to StumbleUpon, a social bookmarking community.
