I finished all the knitting on the “rectangle” poncho. I tried it on and it looked cute. But I always like to dampen knitted and steam machine knit items before I consider them complete. I find the gauge tends to change a little after the first dunk in the sink.
So, about 15 minutes ago, I dunked the poncho in the sink, spun it dry in the washing machine and laid flat on the futon. I snapped a quick picture, You can see how it looks right now. I think you can just see the Idiot Cord trim running diagonally along the front. There is also I-Cord around the neck and hem. (That’s why they aren’t curling wildly. )
Tomorrow I’ll steam the poncho, and try to find someone to take my picture modeling it. If I do, you’ll see me wearing it. During the afternoon, I’ll finish editing the generator, and anyone who wants to make their own yarn can run the program to create instructions in their own size using their own yarn.
