I have no shame!

Christine’s directions suggest test fitting the tube top part of her Lelah Top. Here I am doing it on the web! :)

As you can see, I’m knitting top down. I think this just covers the parts that need to be covered.

If I wanted, I could just knit a little more, fold over to form a casing and thread elastic through both the top and bottom of the tube. That would result in a traditional tube top.

However, like most women, I do not want to see the return of the tube top. Still, I’d have at least two votes of approval. My brother’s in law, R & D, think I should promote knit a traditional ’70s-’80s tube top, market them all over the place and inspire all lovely young things to wear them. Preferably in their neighborhood.

On the other hand, Jim might prefer I didn’t traipse around town in a midriff baring tube top!

Unfortunately for R & D, I have neither the inclination nor the power to start a tube top trend. I think Christine’s idea of adding a fluttery lace bottom is much lovelier. I’m getting ready to knit the “YO, k2 tog round”, then adjust stitches to fit in the lace and knit the lower part. I think I’ll be done by the time this cold front is over.

Wooo hooo!
