Poor Barbie is trapped.
Held prisoner by crochet.
Oh, please, release her.

I usually shrink images, but had to show a large image so you could see “Beaded Barbie” held captive in her crochet jail. The sculpture was created by Karen Search and exhibited in a show called “Image & Reality”. It’s from the Crochet guild of America.

I’ve never seen crochet used as art. My wife loves it though, so I’ll have to show her!

For some reason this one gives me bad vibes. Its like she is in jail or her inner soul is showing. I cant put my finger on it but its a little creepy.

Janelle– I have written a Haiku on that mohair stuff. It’s scary! I just got back from vacation– but I’ll look for the image later!)
