I just learned about the utango rewards program which lets unmarried and recently married people earn utango reward dollars when they shop at selected on line merchants. The program is a life stage program that permits singles to sock away bucks to spend on things they will need after they are married.
Here’s how it works: Singles (or recently married) people join. When making purchases from select online merchants, unmarried members accrue TANGO Bucks in their account. Later, when they marry, they select a Life-State Rewards Plan that lets them apply their Tango dollars to achieve specific life goals.
I bet you are wondering how much this costs? It turns out uTANGO membership is free. Members can earn annual cash back bonuses of up to $200 and lifetime cash payouts of up to $1 million.
The Tango program also has options to permit member’s friends and family to shop and contribute tango dollars to the members funds. Great way to get assistance with your goals while you are still young. And after you are married, the community has tips, tools and experts who can help you achieve your marital and live goals.
If this sounds interesting to you, why don’t you check out the uTango Rewards Program?

It’s a pretty interesting idea. I wonder how it will change. I’ve already been married too long to join (it seems like that limitation must backfire somehow) but it’s both cool and creepy. This one seems more creepy than cool. It builds in encouragement toward hetero relationships and staying married, both of which I am in favor of in general, but tying it to monetary reward and brand loyalty….It’s like marrying your cat food.

I read a variety of the different faqs, plans etc. I sounds like they will eventually open up to long time married couples. I didn’t think of it as being married to your cat food… but yeah. They are trying to make a sort of link between marriage and brand loyalty!
Still, I assume that if this catches on, the number of available brands will increase. And, as with any program if the rules aren’t beneficial to the participants, people won’t participate.
Right now, it’s free. So, I figure: What the heck. Tell people, let them check it out!
