And as much as I love handknitting, I do own a knitting machine (or at least the el-cheapo craft store version of one, the Bond USM), and use it from time to time to turn out a project that is something I'd like to have as a finished item but would rather not have than (actually, usually, would rather instead shove the needles up under my fingernails than) be required to knit by hand.
