Every now and then
my digestive tract acts up,
but I don’t cleanse it.
I saw an opportunity to make money blogging about colon cleansing and it reminded me about this hand knit digestive tract that appeared a while back on Craftster.
Now, as regular readers are aware, I’ve been posting about entirely-non-knitting related items from time to time.
But, I need to ask my readers this: How much money would someone have to offer you to post a 200 word blog article about colon cleansing at your knitting blog, if a) you knew absolutely nothing about the topic, and b) the opportunity stipulates that you should say something positive, would you do it? (’Cuz let me tell you, I could knit that colon, but I know nothing about cleaning one!)

Reminds me of the commercial for Super Colon Cleanse. Some woman yapping about how she likes to feel clean so she uses SCC so she can be clean on the inside too. One word, fiber. lol
Of course, I’m in the mind of not using any of that sort of thing. I had a colonoscopy done once and had to take this nasty lemon lime tasting stuff to do the ole cleansing thing. I thought I was going to DIE!!! I still can’t drink 7up cause the taste is too close. lol

I tend to think colon cleansing is at best, a *complete* waste of time and money. For $35 I’ll tell readers about a new site telling you how to apply eyemakeup. Readers can decide to visit or not. But I’m not going to tell knitter that cleansing your colon will make your hair shinier and skin healthier. (The claims were along those lines.)
Save your money: buy yarn!
