In skein form, it feels a tad softer than other wool/synthetic blends and is maybe a tad 'furrier' for lack of a better word. I probably wouldn't notice any difference if I hadn't purposefully compared. Bamboo grows like weeds in Northern VA where I used to live. I love that it's being used for all kinds of unusual products, especially clothes. I dream of bamboo flooring. I have been knitting since I was 14 years old. I have been a bit slow in getting projects done lately due to arthritis and I had a heart attack in 2006. I am getting the knitting bug back however because my daughter wants a few things for the summer made from cotton. We seem to do for our children what we can not do for ourselves.Even if our kids are now grown and moved out on their own. Whatever gives me inspiration is a good thing I say.
