crochet booties

Cute crochet booties
for my chubby baby’s feet.
She can’t even walk!

Ok… I don’t normally do cute. And I don’t normally do crochet. But, my friend KitKat is having a baby. So, I’m looking for cute ideas.

These hand crocheted booties are from mahardrygoods. They are ready made… no pattern. Still, I think if you know how to crochet you can figure out the general idea and wing it. It’s looks like all single crochet, with inceases and decreases to shape. (Do you think there is wire in the blade part? )

  1. The blades look like knitted i-cord to me!

  2. My latest baby gift idea — take one of the warshrag patterns that are so abundant on the web, and add i-cord ties for a bib. There are hearts, duckies, bears, all kinds of great patterns. I used a heart pattern, myself.

  3. I’d be willing to bet its plastic canvas inside those blades.

  4. There is a knit pattern that is quite similar at Craftster! I am too lazy to find the link, but it was one of the featured projects.

  5. Hi Lucy,
Thanks for the mention of our baby booties and thanks for making an exception for cute crochet! LOL There is neither wire, plastic canvas, not knitted i-cord involved in the blades – just a little crochet magic.
    Kind regards, Robert Mahar
