Hand wash or dry clean?
This appeared in the recent issue of Vogue Knitting. And I bet you want to make it, huh?

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, do I see Annie’s name in the text?! Sigh. I love her, but sometimes. . . All those colors in ripples are making me have seizures.

I snorted Pepsi into my nose when I saw that picture. And then I nearly choked to death when I saw the price of the baby sweater. lol

That reminds me of how, when my daughter was an infant someone sent her a gorgeous boutique outfit from L.A. with tag instructions — dry clean only. I decided that if the wearer isn’t old enough to hand wash or dry clean the garment by him/her self, it should be capable of going in the washer. I have argued with other knitters over this (as I buy a huge amount of discontinued Mission Falls or insist on superwash for a project) but I stand firm. I do use the delicate cycle and lingerie bags but thats as far as it goes.

That is HILARIOUS! I was thinking you’d say this was in an ooold issue. No wonder I can’t find a pattern book I like. Sheesh!

It looks like a baby matador suit. But then, look at all those weird hemlines in handknit patterns lately — at least this has sleeves and pantlegs that end in the same places. (I did have to struggle to find that compliment.)
