A fallen angel
loses his heavenly wings,
becomes a demon.
I paid one or two bucks for this gargoyle statue last summer. His job was to protect the bulbs against possums and raccoons. I guess he must have fended a big one off last night because this morning, the crocuses are up but his wings are down for the count!

I *love* gargoyles. Always have. Until I realized they were actually meant for GOOD, not evil. Then I got over myself and loved them again. I think they’re happy.
