Sunglasses Haiku

Sunglasses cozy.

Spiffy sunglasses
protect your delicate eyes.
They need this knit cozy.

This hand knit cozy is from Lion Brand. Yes. That’s fun fur.

Well, I guess it’s a decent beginner project, though I’d prefer an eyeglass cozy in colors other than purple and orange. I mean… really.

Ok, if you look below, you’ll see I joined “Loud Launch”, which is a way to supposedly make mega, mega, mega bucks reviewing products on your blog.

Having joined, I can say this: There is no way you can make mega bucks. At best you can make tiny snippets of money describing products; most are products one could not possibly review on a knitting blog.

Anyway, believe it or not, I’m actually going to try to see if I can find a knitting related item to match each totally non-knitting related item an ad campaign for at least a week. We’ll see how long I can stretch this out. I mean, there are about 50 campaigns and most are for things like nose jobs and mortgages. How in the heck can anyone really review these things? (And I don’t mean just how can knitters review them? I mean anyone?)

Still, today I saw I could make $7.50 by mentioning Polarized Sunglasses which, I think everyone admits, are a good product. I can even say good things about polarized sunglasses because I use them! My eye doctor recommended I get some clip on shades to attach to my regular glasses and I did. They really help when I face the sun while driving to the yarn store.

Do I know anything else about polarized sunglasses? Nope. Hope they pay me the $7.50 anyway. I mean, I wedged the phrase into a knitting haiku.

  1. Three cheers for polarized sunglasses. Seriously. Do you get more money if we mentioned polarized sunglasses? Should we click the link?

  2. Nope. No more money if *you* mention them and as far as I know, no more money if you click the links. (But there is a link tracker on the page. So, I guess if I get more traffic, I might eventually get more money. We’ll see how this works– or if I even get any money. I’m never quite confident with these web things until I get a check!)

But meanwhile, I’m sort of playing a game to see how many of the ads I can actually “fit” into my knitting haiku theme. It’s sort of a challenge!
