Every early spring, I dream I looked like this so I could book a flight to brazil and then trot out my hot body on the beach.
Actually, right now, I’m more than dreaming about looking like this. I’ve decided to get back into shape. This shouldn’t surprise people, after all my domain name is thedietdiary.com! But, the truth is, I’ve let myself get terribly out of shape in the past three years. So, last week, I decided to join “Curves”. I resolved to work out 4 times a week for the next month. (After that, I’ll set a new goal.)
To motivate myself, I also started a diet blog. But, I’m not posting links yet, because I’m testing out some features that let me catch feeds on diet, nutrition and exercise news, and repost some so I can find the articles later. I also want to organize the format the way I like, and figured out how to get some google ads inserted in a nifty way. But, what with all the experiments with feeds and inline adds, if you looked at it right now you’d say “Lucia has started a diet and exercise splog!”.
Anyway, I do plan to diet and exericse enough to look like this soon.
Getting real… I’m 47. So, we know that won’t happen. And, instead, I’ll console myself with the knowledge that hand knit and crocheted bikinis fall off the minute you jump in the salty water off the coast of Brazil!

Hey, good for you. I have the same feeling about me being out of shape, but have been cutting back on the food lately (and I keep thinking about going to the gym, but something else always gets in the way). I belong to Curves, and have resolved to go 3 times a week (but, ahem, have not managed to follow through much).

Good for you. Exercise is good; being a big, fat slob is bad. And yet. . . My excuse is the Curves’ founder’s socio/political stance, but that’s just me. Still, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to go for walks more often.

I’m especially wishing for her tan. Even if was that skinny, I’d blind everyone with that much of my white, white skin reflecting the sun in their eyes. Then they’d be shocked by the shade of red I turn.
I don’t have any dieting advice, but the Dalai Lama points out in one of his books that food may taste all well and good when it’s going in. But it all comes out as crap in the end. I’m paraphrasing, but seriously he mentions poo in one of his books. The Dalai Lama. Crazy world.

Hilarious. I wonder if I’d look good in that after four children? HA! Doubtful.
