Berrocco sure likes hiked up fronts this year. Has anyone seen this trend anywhere other than Berrocco?

The designers at Berrocco must be size 0 and about 15 years old. This design would look horrible on anyone who has had a child or even a bit of a tummy. It calls out “hey look at my stomach” something most of us would rather avoid announcing to the world with our clothing.

Wow that’s weird. That doesn’t even look good on the dummy. I bet those pointy bits get in the way too.

I agree with everyone else - if it doesn’t look good on a mannequin, it won’t look good on anyone.

That’s yucky!

Actually I have seen a few more (Trendsetter) but they have the sense to show a long version as well. Add on a few inches to bring the front down to the belt and let those points shape your bum. That would be an improvement.

That looks like . . . a mistake. Or it looks like a not-so-great scarf made by an enthusiastic intermediate knitter, converted to a vest.

Asymmetrical hemlines have been a big trend for the last couple of years–handkerchief hems on sporty dresses, mermaid tails on gowns, high in the front and long in the back, or drooping down the sides.
The problem, as stated above, is that this is rarely flattering on ANYONE. If you are less than perfect–bigger on one side, higher on one side, tummied, hipped or bummed–then it looks like the weird hemline is formed by the BODY UNDER IT.
EEEEEEEEK! Get a clue, folks. Most people want to wear clothes, not be worn by them. And if I’m gonna knit something, I want to be able to wear it until it falls apart, not have it be something where others say, “Oh, she’s wearing that goofy brown vesty thing again.”

I have definitely seen applications of the “pin closure” dealie that I like, but this is just ugly and stupid. Bad shape, bad design, bad color. Blech.
