Most people who email me are machine knitters. So, I was surprised to discover that my most visited page is the hand knit doll poncho page!
This pattern is knit top down, and has shoulder darts to avoid the pesky bunching around the neck some people complain about. (The bunching is only a problem when you make the head opening relatively small, which you might if you want a poncho you actually wear to keep warm.)
Since no one emails me about this one, I can’t help but wondering if they are knitting it doll size, or using the generator to chart it up to their own size? What yarn are they using? Surely not the el cheapo stuff I used?
There aren’t many visitors to this blog yet, but if you happen to be one of the people who knit the poncho last month, drop me a comment. Heck, if you are puzzled and want advice about making the poncho for a full size human being, leave a comment.
