Remarkable Mohair Coat.

Intarsia and PomPom

Designer A, “Look! A package from our test knitter!” Designer B, “Oh, goodie!”

Designer A puts on a knit coat and takes a turn in front of the mirror. Brow furrowed, she says, “It’s missing something.” Shaking head, designer B agrees, “Yes. It doesn’t have that ‘je ne sais quois’.”

Both look at each other. Designer B rushes over to a table, grabs a pom-pom and tosses it to Designer A: “Yes! Pom-poms can fix anything!”

Sally Lee’s mohair coat appeared in Vogue Knitting Winter Special 1990-91. In their description, editors applied the adjective “remarkable”.

  1. Holy crapoly. I didn’t even notice the pom-pom until you pointed it out.
