Designer A: “McCalls Needlework and Crafts says they want to feature color in their next issue!” Designer B,”Let’s give them pink and purple!”
Designer A: “No, lots of color!” Designer B, “Add green and blue?”
Designer A: “More color!”
Designer B gets some crayons and makes big blobs of color, “Look, I worked in red and black!”
Designer A: “Amazing!”
This knit delight appeared in a 1989 issue of McCalls Needlework and Craft; I believe it belongs in their “baggy, unflattering intarsia sweater” series. Wearing it with zebra striped pants was an interesting style choice.

Um, what’s with this chick’s elbows?!?
These sweaters would make great floormats for tiny tikes to play on!
