Klu Lesley Grossenugly rips opens box filled with sample yarns, fishes out a letter, reads and exclaims, “Eddie! We have a commission from Lang.”
Peevishly, Eddie Ottmacher replies, “They manufacture such ‘traditional yarns’. Boring!” Klu, “Indeed!”
Eddie continues, “… and they have a reputation for ‘classic knits’. Boring!“. Klu, “Indeed!”
Eddie pouts. Laughing, Klu fishes out a ball of yarn, tosses it to Eddie, and says, “We get to change all that!”
The pattern to knit this sweater coat appears in Lang Yarns, Fatto a Mano NR. 150. As with many yarn manufacturers’ pattern periodicals, we are left to guess the copyright date.

Well, a copyright date is clearly unecessary; the piece is timeless.
Or out of time, I’m not sure.

Dear Lucia,
Where do you find this stuff? It is completely marvelous–and as funny as Cute Overload.
