Can’t you imagine the conversation between two designers working on this?
“Let’s make a really complicated sweater!”
“Oh, yes. Include a bunch of intarsia!”
“Yes, and duplicate stitch so you have something left to do after finishing the knitting!”
“Absolutely!!!! And let’s add ribbing — in a panel over the abdomen — sort of like in a Playtex long-line girdle!”
“Splendid! Oh..but something is still missing. I know! Let’s add bobbles to the side of her hips!”
“Perfect! Our work is done!”
