Jim saw the preview of this picture and said, “You look like you’ve been startled by an axe murder!”
Well, how would you look if you stood there with your neck craned around for more than a minute while your husband mumbled things like “Just let me focus.” “Hold on a minute” and then, with no warning at all, snapped the picture?
As you can see, the hoodie I’m knitting for Susan’s “hoodie-a-long” is nearly done. Jim suggested I turn my back to model it. That way we could show the hood, and also hide the fact that I still need to buy the zipper and apply it. I hope I find a 20″ yellow zipper tomorrow, when Mom and I drive way over to Dekalb and check the yarn out at the Yarn Exchange. (I’ll take pictures and report back on their yarn stocks.)
As for the hoodie, when it’s finished, I’ll get Jim to take a picture of the whole thing. The sweater is based on the sideways knit raglan generators, but I added some features. So, I need to get the new page up. I’ll let you all know when it’s available.

aw that hoodie is soo cute! you wont be dissapointed at the yarn exchange! they are great. i dont beleive they carry zippers though. if you live near chicago, there is a vogue fabric store in evanston that just has everything you need in every color! im sure they have yellow zippers!

Thanks!
It turns out the Yarn Exchange has zippers, but they didn’t have any yellow ones. I love Vogue fabrics in Evanston. I go there roughly twice a year, but it’s such a pain to get to from Lisle.
Mom lives in the Northern suburbs, and says a super mondo Joanne the size of 4 Walmarts just opened near her, so she is going to look for a yellow zipper. She took a swatch to check colors. If she doesn’t find the zipper, I’ll need to schedule a visit to Evanston.

Mom emailed me. She found the zipper, and put it in the mail. I may have it tomorrow.
I may need to visit Mom and stop by that super mondo Joanne’s! I need a cover for my futon.
