Sometimes I just can’t help clicking! Admit it, if you were a mechanical engineer who writes a blog about knitting you would just have to read an email that began:

Subject: I have redesigned your website

Lawwebdesigns? Hmmmm…. Click.
What did it say?
I have designed a new web page for you. I have not altered your existing site; I have simply created a prototype for your review because I am confident that I can earn your business.

Needless to say, I clicked the link and zoomed off the a page that requested my email address and website name. I entered “The Knitting Fiend”. Quick as electrons can fly, I received an email to a URL with several proposed redesigns for my site.
Many were tasteful, looked well organized and probably meet the needs of lawfirms. That said, I think the best for my site would the the one that contained this flash banner that alternates a skull and the woman holding her head:

I bet you think the fun was over? Nope!
Jacob Hiller sent me a nice email asking how I liked the designs and offering futher customization to match my specific areas of law. I could have deleted. Normally, I would have deleted. But I couldn’t resist replying:
Jacob,
They look slick. However, I’m afraid they were sort of hilarious since my site is a personal blog about knitting. I assume you got my email off some blog?![]()
I wish you good luck, but I’m afraid I’m not in your target market,
