No man should wear this:
No. Not even a Frenchman.
Please hide this from him.
I know this was publlished way back during the seventies, but does that excuse this? If I have any young French readers, please assure me your father or grandfather never wore anything like this!
From Revue Mon Tricot, 1972.

It looks like a rip-off of Sonny Bono and his and Cher’s daughter Chastity!!!

Oh, boy! My eyes!!!! But wait a minute - if I knit that vest and take photo of hubby in it (while he is sleeping) and spread around that photo… it would be a great idea of getting back when he pisses me off!

I am not French, I’m Finnish, but I can assure you that my father or grandfather never wore things like this. Not even those fashionable shepherd vests made with real sheep pelts. My brothers might have done that, if they had had more sense of fashion or if my mother hadn’t had good sense of style
(I was born 1969)

Yes, yes, I made one of those vest for me in red and I wore it in the 70′ and my husband wore a huge off white mantel I made too. Like a polar bear.
I’m from Switzerland!!!
