Thank You, La!

Thank you

Look what La of JenLa sent me!!! A Chibi!!!

I was going to use it immediately– but The General decided to take it over for a while. As you can see he loves it.

Since cats outrank humans around here, I had to wait patiently. Luckily, he eventually let me use the Chibi.

Duplicate StitchI found the unfinished Argyle socks and some blue yarn. ( I wanted to use red, but believe it of not, I found no machine washable red yarn in the house. None!

Fortunately, I did find some rather bright blue. I threaded the Chibi and began to work duplicate stitch. To the Chibi-less, I must report that using a Chibi makes doing this much easier. The bent tip lets me dip into the hole and then poke back up more easily. It’s terrific.

Criss CrossesI’ll show close up pictures when I embroider the X’s on the brown-beige and white Argyle socks I’m currently knitting.

Meanwhile, here’s how the finished “black, blue and white” Argyles look. =>

(Truthfully, I’m thinking of picking out the blue and redoing in red. So, for now, there will be just one finished sock while I decide.)

  2. I LURVE my chibi!

I agree with red for the argyle. I think that red and black are just made to be together.

  3. I’m a chibi whore, just like your cat :-) He knows where it’s at.

And I agree on the red.

  4. La sent me one too! I love it to bits.
Have to admit I feel a fool. I had no idea you could knit argyle that way. The finished sock looks pretty complicated but I think even I could do it!
