I’m pondering future generators. Of course, at any given time, I just write the generator that takes my fancy now, but I do tend to mull things over. It seems to me these generators could be useful:
- Top Down Raglan (hand knit): Jim has been eyeing the Cascade Quatro sweater I am knitting double stranded, and dropping hints he’d like a thick sweater. Admittedly, he doesn’t want his knit in the color I’ve come to think of as “warm sunset glow”. He likes more subdued items. He’s happy with the fit of his raglan cardigan. So, a hand knit raglan is on the list of “probably will spring into existence”.
- Sideways knit raglan with hood (machine knit). I saw “Seamless Hoodie” on page 44 of April 2005 “Knit ‘N Style”. Now, I’m hankerin’ for a zip front, hooded pullover to match my
beerbeverage socks. (Color pictured. Yes, it’s bright. You are allowed to say “Yikes!”, “Egads!” or its equivalent in any language. ) - Beer socks: the hand knit version. Ok, I’ll call them water bottle socks for the Iowa Chicks water bottle sock knit along. Still, I think hand knitters and, evidently spinners, also need beer socks. A spinner emailed me and told me she like tos conceal her beer when she work booths at the State and County Fairs. ( What a hoot! From now on, I resolve to peak. )
- A tube top. The modest can wear this under a sweater. The less modest can wear it as is.
Does anyone have any thoughts on other items? Feel free to suggest anything, bearing in mind it may or may not come to pass. Someone always asks for the bikini. I always think it’s a good idea. But, the “need it now” feeling has yet to attack me. Who knows how I’ll feel in July.
