It’s Thursday; I should write this:
Cute colorful clowns
wearing bright crocheted collars
make young children smile.
Thursday or not, I couldn’t help thinking of this:
Creepy clown killers1
are often featured in films,
which frequently flop.
Clown killers! Ick!
Haven’t seem any kitschy movies with clown killers? Heck there is a Simpsons episode about a clown murder. Seeing all the crocheted clowns together I just couldn’t help thinking of the movies!
The pattern for the crocheted clowns, who probably couldn’t hurt a fly, appeared in The Workbasket January 1982.
1. I have a question for expert grammarians? Would “clown killers” mean killers who kill clowns? Or Clowns who kill?

Or would it mean those who kill clowns?

As a clown I would like to state I have never met a killer clown. Although comments of mortal who do not know our greateness has tempted some of us.
