Jacket Knit no buttonholes

Riddle me this one:
A pullover jacket or….
a two piece outfit?

I think it’s a tight knit tube worn over a sweater jacket. It’s not as odd as the “Irish Knit Military Apron” by the same designer. I mean…. the sweater coat seems to be fairly normal!

Worn with that tight tube thing, it’s a strange, thought provoking outfit. Can the model raise her arms? If she does, will the tube rise up around her neck? Do you have to pull that tube over your head to take the sweater off?

I guess discussing all these issues makes the outfit a convesation piece?

  1. Crivens! It’s a good thing I wasn’t blog-reading with coffee in mouth! Looks like a nominee for “You Knit What” to me.

  2. Maggi’s stuff often appears on “You Knit What”. (I often show it first. :) )

  3. It’s really hard to come up with words at the moment.

It’s easier if we take the two pieces and forget they are worn together. lol

I like the sweater. I like longish cardigans. So long as the color embellishments aren’t ‘raised’, they do add interest. Kinda… hehe

The tube/wrap. I adore the colors. Is it practical? No. I really doubt she can move her arms without it turning into a cowl neck.

Now if you take the color from the tube and infuse it into the cardigan, you have a winner. Even if only part of the cardigan was striped, it would work.

Maybe the top part of the body and the top part of the sleeves striped and the rest a color picked out of the stripes.

Or the top of the body striped. The sleeves and the rest of the body a solid color and the cuffs stripped. Maybe a couple striped patch pockets.

Now if only I had the time/money to really play around with the idea. hehehe
